Poland’s PMI falls most since 2005

The Poland Manufacturing PMI Index declined by 3.4 points month-on-month to 51.1 points in August, according to a report published by Markit Group and HSBC.

The market consensus was 54.1 – 54.2 pts.

“According to August data, Poland’s industrial growth markedly slowed down. The pace of growth of new orders, exports and output was significantly slower than in July. Companies reduced their purchasing activity,” the report read.

Any figure above 50.0 indicates overall improvement of the sector.
