Polish firms performed the best among entities from 12 countries of the region featured in this year’s Coface CEE Top 500 Rank. Poland’s biggest refiner PKN Orlen leads the list, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported.
Half of TOP 10 companies are Polish, including Jeronimo Martins Polska as well as state-controlled PGNiG, Lotos and PGE. Domestic firms account for nearly 40 percent of the total revenue and 30 percent of the net profits of all the 500 companies. Orlen was ahead of such large players as its Hungarian competitor MOL and Skoda Auto.
