Several Polish food producers took part in three-day the 2018 Summer Fancy Foods Show in New York that started on June 30, the largest organic food fair in the US. Deputy Agriculture Minister Jacek Bogucki, who was present at the fair, said that last year Poland sold food to the US for nearly $600 million, marking a double-digit growth y/y and that the growth trend continues this year. “We are the biggest producer of poultry and apples in Europe, and one of the biggest in the world. The US market has been inaccessible to us. If it opens, we could double our exports very quickly,” Bogucki stated.
