Logistics space developer Prologis leased 1.8 million sqm of warehouse area in Central and Eastern Europe last year, which brought the occupancy level across the company’s portfolio in the region to a record-high 96.4 percent. In Poland, the developer signed lease agreements for a total of 900,000 sqm in 2016 and the occupancy level reached 94.8 percent. At the end of 2016, Prologis held 4.5 million sqm of logistics assets in CEE. “We experienced a record-breaking year for Prologis – globally, across Europe and in Central and Eastern Europe,” said Martin Polak, the senior vice president and regional head of the company in the CEE region. “Occupancy and the volume of lease transactions reached an all-time high, and we saw a high customer retention rate – to illustrate, four in five of our customers renewed their leases with us,” Polak added.
