REAS – 2.2% more units sold in Q1, Kraków with biggest growth

In the first quarter of the year, the number of transactions in the housing sector grew by 2.2 percent quarter-on-quarter, and reached 11,500, according to a report compiled by consulting company REAS.

As many as six agglomerations with the largest turnover were taken into consideration, Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, the Tri-City, Poznań and Łódź.

“Kraków is the ultimate winner, where the increase of sales amounted to 34 percent q/q,” REAS informed.

In the last four quarters (since April 2014), 43,500 units have been sold, 20 percent more than in 2007 and 2013, when sales reached record highs and totaled about 36,000 apartments.
