A total of more than 1.18 million sqm of warehouse space was leased in Poland in the first quarter of this year, which is the best Q1 result in the history of the Polish market, according to the latest report by Cushman & Wakefield. The most space was taken up in the period in central Poland (20% of all transactions), the Warsaw area (18%), the Poznań area (12%), Silesia (11%) and the Wrocław area (9%). E-commerce companies, logistics operators and retail chains generated the most demand, accounting for 24%, 23% and 19% of the leasing volume respectively. The vacancy rate in Poland’s warehouse property market decreased to 4.7% in Q1 2018, the lowest figure since 2004, the Cushman & Wakefield study said.
