A record 151,000 sqm of office space is currently under construction in Tri-city, with approximately two-thirds of the volume scheduled for completion this year, according to Colliers International data. In 2016, the agglomeration saw the completion of six projects totaling 57,000 sqm, which brought the existing office stock to 634,000 sqm. The demand for office space in Tri-city reached the level of 93,000 sqm last year, with 78 percent of the office area leased in the period located in Gdańsk. According to Colliers International, the BPO/SSC sector accounted for more than 50 percent of the leasing activity in Tri-city last year. The vacancy rate in the Tri-city office market stood at 11.1 percent at the end of 2016.
