Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz will offer former Deputy PM and Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski the position of her head advisor, according to sources quoted by the Polish Press Agency (PAP). He will be a member of the council of ministers.
The government’s spokesperson Iwona Sulik told Polish Radio that Kopacz still has to meet Rostowski before announcing the news.
PAP’s sources claim that Jan Krzysztof Bielecki, a former prime minister and former CEO of lender PKO BP, will remain head of the Prime Minister’s Economic Council. In their opinion, this may lead to conflicts as both Rostowski and Bielecki are “very strong personalities.”
