Radosław Sikorski, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Marshall of the Sejm, announced on Twitter that he will not run in the 25 October general elections.
“I decided that I will not run in the upcoming parliamentary elections. I thank all the residents of Bydgoszcz for the fact that I have had the honor to represent them for over a decade,” the politician tweeted.
Sikorski stepped down from the office of the Marshal of the Sejm in June because of the fallout from the secret recordings made in a restaurant in Warsaw. Until then, he was a prominent figure of the ruling Civic Platform.
