S&P upgrades Poland’s GDP forecast for 2017

Rating agency Standard & Poor’s has raised its forecast for GDP growth in Poland this year to 3.6 percent from the previous 3.3 percent estimate. For the years 2018-2020, the forecasts remained unchanged and stand at 3.1 percent (2018), 3 percent (2019), and 2.9 percent (2020).

The agency maintained the forecasts of the public finance deficit to GDP and inflation in the projection horizon until 2020.

The estimates of the public finance sector’s debt path have been raised.

In April, S&P confirmed the long-term and short-term rating of Poland in foreign currency at BBB +/A-2 with a stable outlook.
