Polskie LNG, which manages the construction of the marine LNG terminal in Świnoujście, has announced the successful completion of water tests of both storage facilities at the unit.
“Water testing of both storage units were successful,” said Maciej Mazur, Polskie LNG’s corporate communications director. “The structures maintained their earlier designed parameters under a weight of 100,000 [metric] tons.”
The Świnoujście LNG terminal is one of Poland’s biggest investments in the past few years. It is designed to provide about one third of the natural gas the country needs. It is expected to be operational in mid 2015.
