GDP grows in Q2

Polish economy grows, but slightly slower than in Q1, Central Statistical Office (GUS) reports. According to Q2 results, GDP grew by 3.3 percent. This result is better than 3.2 percent predictions. Seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 0.6 percent in comparison with Q1.

Most of the banks that offer mobile banking services have noted huge raises in the number of users making payments on their phones, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports. The total number of users for the top ten Polish lenders has exceeded 3 million.

Poland to increase military spending

The Polish government is working on an act increasing military spending to 2 percent of  the GDP, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports. This means, that the army will be able to spend PLN 800 million more every year.
