Launch of 2nd edition of the program for small companies with global ambitions THINK BIG
Warsaw, 9 September 2014. Today is the start of the second edition of THINK BIG – the program for small companies with global ambitions organized by UPC Business, provider of modern digital solutions for companies – ultrafast internet, television and telephony. This year’s edition of THINK BIG held under the slogan „We share your passion for business”, is addressed to owners of micro and small companies who want to develop their business basing on innovative technologies and solutions, and at the same time creatively combine their passions with business activities. The main prize in the program is PLN 40,000 and the possibility of exchanging knowledge and experiences with mentors from the innovative business segment.
UPC Business is inviting to the THINK BIG program companies which are already active on the market, thus giving an opportunity to companies outside the category of startup projects. The rivalry for new conditions for development and financial and professional support, similarly as in last year’s edition, is open to everyone who has been conducting business activities for at least one year and who will present the jurors non-standard ideas for the development of their business. The final event of the pilot opening of THINK BIG which has been continued for four months at the turn of 2013 and 2014 was the “Inspiration Day” and its winner was IzzyBike – the project of commercializing a bike without a chain.

Companies which function within this philosophy and which are free from routine, set trends, create methods of thinking and stimulate economic development for the benefit of the whole society in the long run.”
THINK BIG and Reach for success
This year the first stage of the program will last for as long as 2 months, so that the biggest possible number of entrepreneurs will gain the possibility for new development conditions and professional support. Applications containing the description of up to date activities and the project for the development of the business should be send via the on-line form available from today on www.thinkbig.upc.pl, by no later than by 7 November. The second stage of the program which will be launched in the second half of November will focus on involving in the process of selecting the final ten of THINK BIG fans of the site https://www.facebook.com/UPCbiznes on Facebook.

Two runners up will win PLN 20,000 each. Additionally each of the winners will participate in 1 on 1 mentor sessions with experts from UPC Business and business practitioners.
