Thousands of customers’ data leaked

Online store has reported a leak of customer data. The leak includes names, email addresses and telephone numbers of users. The company recommends users change their password on the website as soon as possible.

The company assured users that “access has been detected and blocked” and that the leak did not concern payment card details, logins to bank accounts, as such information is collected by payment operators and banks, not the store itself.

The e-store indicated, however, that customers’ personal data could now be used for “scams.” There is also the risk of decoding users’ passwords, hence the call for them to be changed.

The case was reported to the Office for Personal Data Protection.
