Transfers to Poland from emigrants in the fourth quarter of 2017 amounted to PLN 4.2 billion, and in the whole year to PLN 16.3 billion, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said.
Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the amount transferred was at the same level, compared to 2016 it was PLN 0.1 billion less.
The NBP reported that the most funds, like in previous periods, came to Poland from people working in Germany – PLN 1.5 billion, and from the UK – PLN 0.9 billion. In total, transfers from those two countries accounted for 57.9 percent of all transfers.
At the same time, the NBP said that in the fourth quarter of 2017, funds transferred abroad by foreigners working in Poland amounted to PLN 3.4 billion, an amount higher by PLN 0.9 billion than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
