Poland’s State Treasury has no plans to sell further stake in listed companies, Deputy Treasury Minister Wojciech Kowalczyk was quoted as saying by the Polish Press Agency. The only reason this would be possible would be in case of need for extra funds for Polish Investments.
“Stakes will be privatized first of all in order to further capitalize [Polish investments vehicle] PIR,” Kowalczyk said.
The minister added that PIR’s investment needs this year may be estimated at PLN 1 billion. Next year they should be higher, but the final amount depends on the projects available, he said.
