Former Prime Minister Donald Tusk denied that Russian President Vladimir Putin ever proposed that Poland take part in a partition of Ukraine, referring to what Radosław Sikorski, former Foreign Affairs Minister and  now Speaker of the Sejm, had told American portal Politico. The portal recently quoted Sikorski as saying that in 2008, during Tusk’s visit to Moscow, Putin suggested that Poland should take part in a partition of Ukraine together with Russia.

“Such a proposal was never made at any of the meetings,” Tusk told radio Tok FM. He added that Ukraine was never on the agenda of the meeting with the Russian president back in 2008 and that the meeting was not one-on-one but involved other participants.
