San Francisco-based Uber, a “crowdsourced taxi service”, will open its first CEE Center of Excellence in the city center of Kraków, a press release read.
Uber will spend some PLN 38 million. The investment project was backed by the American Embassy in Poland and American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
By 2017, 140 specialists are to be employed at the center, their task will be supporting Uber operations in the region of Europe and Africa.
The company has leased space in Browar Lubicz.
Uber entered Poland 16 months ago.
