The Trade Inspection raised objections to almost 10 percent of food products for small children, athletes and people on diet tested in the third quarter of 2017, UOKiK said on Wednesday.
The Trade Inspection checked 82 stores and three wholesalers from all over the country. They inspected 817 items of food. Over a half of them were products for small children, others were for people on a gluten-free diet, athletes, and diabetics.
Irregularities occurred in 27 controlled places, which is 31.8 percent. The inspection questioned 77 batches of products, which is 9.4 percent. The most common irregularities concerned labeling.
