Developer Vastint Poland has acquired almost 5.5 hectares of post-industrial land in central Poznań, on which it plans to build a mixed-use project comprising approximately 70,000 sqm of space and including retail, residential and public areas. The site previously housed a meat processing plant (commonly referred to as the Old Slaughterhouse) dating back to 1900. Design work on the planned scheme will take two years, said Roger Andersson, the managing director of Vastint Poland. The company is currently building the second phase of its Business Garden office development in Poznań and is preparing to launch its planned Portowo residential investment in the city.
