The total amount of warehouse space in Poland is almost 15 million sqm (up by 2 million sqm y/y), which means that Poland has twice as much space as the Czech Republic and six times more than Slovakia, according to the CBRE report “Market View: Polish industrial and logistics market after Q3 2018.”
Industrial and warehouse facilities are becoming more and more attractive to investors; the volume of transactions in the market over the first three quarters of the year amounted to EUR 1.1 billion. It is almost the same as in the whole of last year, meaning that 2018 may prove to be record-breaking in this respect, announced CBRE.
Almost 2.1 million sqm is under construction and in the first three quarters of this year demand for warehouse space increased by 13 percent y/y and amounted to 3.1 million sqm. Currently, the vacancy rate in Poland is 4.5 percent, close to the lowest in history.
