Finnish developer YIT has acquired almost three hectares of land in the Białołęka district of Warsaw, on which it plans to develop its second residential project in the city. The company will revitalize four historic buildings sitting on the site which used to house a yeast factory dating back to the early 1900s. In addition, they are to develop a number of new three-story buildings on the plot. The project planned for the site, called Aroma Park, will be developed in several phases, with YIT planning to launch construction work on the first 70 apartments in the second half of next year, said Tomasz Konarski, the president of the management board at YIT in Poland. He added that the pre-sales of the apartments will be launched in spring 2017. YIT entered Poland last year and launched its first residential project in the country – Nordic Mokotów in Warsaw – in May 2016. The scheme is located in the Mokotów district and will comprise almost 300 apartments. The developer recently topped out the first phase of the development, which offers 125 housing units.
