Zalando to invest €200 million in Poland – Puls Biznesu

German e-commerce giant Zalando will open a logistics center in Gryfino, northwestern Poland, Polish daily Puls Biznesu reported. The investment, where 3,000 people will find employment, is worth €200 million.

The newspaper said that the company will open the 130,000 sqm facility on 21.5 ha land it will buy in the Kostrzyńsko-Słubickia Special Economic Zone.

“We don’t confirm this information. We are planning to expand the logistics network in Europe…We are in talks with various local structures in different parts of Europe, including Poland. The final decision hasn’t yet been made,” said Katarzyna Heller from Zalando.

According to Puls Biznesu, the company was also considering other locations in Poland. The negotiations have been ongoing since October 2015.
