Iran: over 30 people died after stampede at Soleimani's funeral
At least 32 people were killed and 190 injured as a result of panic that broke out at General Qasem Soleimani's funeral in his hometown of Kerman in Southeast Iran. Earlier, the 35 fatalities were reported.
General Soleimani's burial was postponed, but it was not specified when it takes place.
Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the elite Iranian Al-Kuds unit, was killed Thursday night Friday in Baghdad in a US missile attack. This attack sparked mass demonstrations in Iran and exacerbated the tensions between Washington and Tehran.
