On May 16, a new outdoor exhibition titled "To Live In! Projects by Helena and Szymon Syrkus" will open at the Art Walk gallery on Europejski Square in Warsaw. The exhibition focuses on the residential architecture designed by one of Poland's most prominent modernist couples, the Syrkuses.
Sponsored by the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning, the exhibition sheds light on their innovative designs, emphasizing functionalism, simplicity, and innovative construction solutions. Despite being created decades ago, their avant-garde projects remain relevant today, inspiring greener, more innovative, and socially conscious urban planning in Warsaw.
The exhibition will showcase their most notable projects, shaping Warsaw's architectural landscape and identity. It aims to educate the public about architectural heritage and foster cultural appreciation in collaboration with the Art in the City Foundation and Ghelamco.
