As many as 94 percent of companies see the impact of the war in Ukraine in at least one area of their business, according to a study prepared by the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) in collaboration with the Bank for National Economy (BGK). For 70 percent of companies, the war has strongly influenced decisions related to price increases.
"Price increases were more often decided by small companies (81 percent) than large ones (63 percent), and in the sectors, the most frequent price increases were made by trade companies (79 percent) and TSL (transport-shipping-logistics) (74 percent)," the report further stated.
According to 63 percent of entrepreneurs, the war strongly affects higher operating costs, it was also reported.
