Next week, we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union. On May 1, 2004, along with Poland, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Hungary also joined the group of member states.
This marked the end of a long process during which our country negotiated the terms of accession to the EU and worked to meet all the necessary conditions for accession. It must be remembered that Poland's accession to the European Union on May 1, 2004, was the culmination of a long process.
