The 16th edition of the European Economic Congress

The 16th edition of the European Economic Congress

We are only a month away from the 16th edition of the European Economic Congress scheduled for 7-9 May. Respected authorities, decision-makers, managers of major companies, entrepreneurs, pundits, scientists and academics will gather in Katowice to discuss matters critical to Poland, Europe, and the world.

Central Europe's largest business event, since its establishment the European Economic Congress has strived to provide a broad, diversified and open forum for debate about the future of the Polish and European economies, at the same time addressing key challenges faced by society.
This year’s edition will be no different. The key thematic fields of the 16th edition of the European Economic Congress (7-9 May) are: Europe, geopolitics and economy; Energy, transition and security; Climate and sustainable economy; Digital economy and new technologies; Investments and finance; Law and economy and Migration, diversity, labour market.

The highlighted domains will give rise to more than 160 debates accompanied by galas, finales of competitions and banquets. The slogan of this year’s edition of the event is: Transform today, change tomorrow.

According to Wojciech Kuśpik, the president of the PTWP Group – the initiator and organiser of the European Economic Congress – this year's edition will be the best and most interesting in the event’s history.

“There is a new government in Poland and we are facing serious geopolitical challenges, including challenges related to transition. Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the EU, this year’s edition of the Congress will be held six months into the term of the new government, right after local elections, and a month ahead of elections to the European Parliament. There is a huge interest in the event with hopes for an open dialogue and the congress has always provided a platform for it,” says Wojciech Kuśpik.

“This year, Katowice will host politicians, scientists and academics as well as – most importantly – business people, among whom are members of management boards of Poland's largest companies,” he adds.

In its basic form, the event is free of charge and open to everyone. You can register for this year's edition of the European Economic Congress under this link:
