23% of Poles do not invest, but would like to start
Nearly one in four Poles say they want to begin investing, according to a UniCredit report. Although 77% trust their financial skills, only 28% currently invest—a gap of nearly 50 percentage points. Interest is strongest among younger people: 31% of those ages 18–24 want to start, compared with 14% of those ages 55–64.
Investors tend to take a long-term view: 33% invest for one to five years, and 26% for longer than five years. Even after significant losses, most adjust their strategy rather than quit; 14% of those who lost money left the market entirely. The report suggests that inflation and concerns about retirement security have made investing seem increasingly important. UniCredit is launching InvestHub, an educational platform intended to help people get started and invest more confidently.
