According to a Visa report, 61% of Poles transfer money abroad using digital apps, while 39% still use physical locations like banks. Additionally, 8% prefer postal transfers and 6% use checks. The popularity of digital methods is growing—28% of Poles say they now use apps exclusively for sending funds abroad, and 40% consider this the safest method.

Nearly 39% say digital transfers are received instantly, compared to just 10% for checks or postal orders. The main reason for international transfers, cited by 30% of Poles, is unexpected financial needs of friends or family. Others mention gifts or humanitarian aid. One in eight Poles regularly sends money to loved ones abroad.
