The internet has become the dominant channel for purchasing sports products in Poland: 84% of respondents buy sports equipment or apparel online, while only 16% rely exclusively on brick-and-mortar stores, according to a Kantar report commissioned by Allegro. Consumers value convenience, wide selection, and fast delivery most. Attractive prices are the top factor for 51% of shoppers, followed by the ability to compare multiple brands (46%), quick delivery (42%), and easy, free returns (37%).

Sportswear is increasingly bought not only for training but also for everyday use, reflecting the strong athleisure trend across generations. On Allegro, over 60% of sports sales come from tourism, cycling, and fitness categories, with growing demand for higher-quality, premium products.
