Mariusz Rzeczkowski of Totalizator Sportowy, speaking at the European Economic Congress, emphasized that while the grey market in online casinos may never disappear entirely, reducing it yields clear social and fiscal benefits. Since 2017, legal market share in Poland’s online casino sector has grown from 0% to 60%, thanks to Total Casino—Poland’s only legal platform. Still, around 40% of the market remains illegal.

Reducing this not only boosts state revenue but also protects players from addiction and fraud. As a state monopoly, Totalizator ensures controlled access and promotes responsible gaming through tools like spending limits and educational efforts. The company adheres to top EU standards and continues improving its player protection systems.
