According to IMD Business School ranking, Poland less economically competitive

In the 2025 IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, Switzerland claimed the top spot, followed by Singapore and Hong Kong. Poland ranked 52nd out of 69 countries—its worst performance in five years—falling 11 places compared to 2024. Poland underperformed in all main categories: economic performance (25th), government efficiency (58th), business efficiency (64th), and infrastructure (41st).
While it improved in some subcategories like domestic economy (34th) and international investment (36th), it fell in others like international trade (20th) and employment (16th). Poland ranked lower than many regional peers: Lithuania (21st), Czechia (25th), Latvia (38th), and Hungary (48th), indicating declining competitiveness in Central and Eastern Europe.
