Amazon has announced another investment in Poland. Over 1,000 new jobs will be created at an e-commerce logistics center in Gliwice, which will have an area of over 210,000 sqm. The facility will be the company’s largest building in the country and will be equipped with the innovative Amazon Robotics technology. Amazon has revealed that the recruitment of employees for the logistics, engineering, finance, HR and IT departments will start soon.
“Our new team will play a key role in providing Amazon customers across Europe with the highest level of service. We are very pleased with the expansion of our operations in Poland, and thanks to active cooperation with local entrepreneurs and representatives of local governments and central authorities we hope to become a catalyst for economic development in the region,” said regional Amazon director Marian Sepesi.
Panattoni Europe is the developer of the investment. Amazon has been operating in Poland since 2014. Currently, the company has seven logistics centers in the country.
