ArcelorMittal Poland to modernize dust removal in sintering plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza
ArcelorMittal Poland will spend nearly PLN 60 mln modernizing dust-collection systems at its sinter plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Work will begin this year and finish in Q1 2028, reducing dust emissions and improving workplace conditions. The project will replace an existing electrostatic precipitator with a bag filter covering the sorting building, upgrade internal ductwork, and install four compact filters for dust and lime silos. Target emissions are below 5 mg/Nm3 in the sinter-sorting area and 10 mg/Nm3 near conveyor discharge points and silos.
The company is also modernizing sinter strands 1 and 3 in a PLN 7 mln project. Combined with a PLN 35 mln coke wagon-tippler filtration system, spending at the plant since last year will exceed PLN 100 mln.
