ARP: data centers will lower Polish cloud computing and AI costs
Paweł Pacek, Director of the Technology Development Office at Industrial Development Agency (ARP), argues that new Polish data centers will significantly lower the cost of cloud computing and AI, while also easing concerns about data security and foreign access. He stresses that computing power is becoming a strategic resource, comparable to oil or steel, marking a shift toward a data-driven economy. Poland, he says, should actively participate in this transformation by developing niches in areas such as space technologies, microelectronics, and quantum tech. Pacek encourages companies — especially SMEs — to overcome mental barriers by starting with small AI pilot projects.
Local data centers, combined with global solutions, can accelerate Industry 4.0 adoption and strengthen Poland’s technological competitiveness.
