Average gross salary in enterprise sector in June increased 5.9% y/y
Average gross wages in Poland’s corporate sector rose 5.9% y/y and 2.5% month to month in June 2026, slightly exceeding economists’ forecasts. Average monthly pay reached PLN 9,401.58, supported by bonuses, additional awards, and salary increases. Employment fell 0.9% from a year earlier and was unchanged from May, indicating a broadly stable labor market. Wage growth accelerated in industry but slowed in services to its lowest rate since February 2021. Economists expect pay growth to gradually moderate but remain above 5% through year-end.
The data are unlikely to discourage future interest-rate cuts, as wage increases are no longer seen as a major source of inflationary pressure.
