Baby boomers use AI tools more than other generations

Among all generations, baby boomers are the most popular users of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, a Capgemini report revealed. The report states that 53.5% of baby boomers utilize AI tools, compared to 51.7% of Generation X, 50.8% of Generation Z, and 50.2% of Millennials. Interestingly, over 70% of baby boomers seek AI advice regarding personal relationships or professional plans.
Generative AI, which encompasses tools like ChatGPT, Midjurney, and DALL-e 2, is widely employed to create audio content, images, texts, and videos. These AI tools are experiencing continuous growth in popularity. DALL-e 2, used for image generation, reached 1 million users within approximately 2.5 months, while ChatGPT has already amassed over 100 million users.
The level of trust in AI is surprisingly high, with 73% of respondents expressing trust in content from generative platforms, even on complex subjects like finance, medicine, or interpersonal relationships. Notably, Norwegians (79%) and Spaniards (75%) exhibit the highest levels of trust.
