Bank Millennium Creates PLN 532M Provisions for CHF Loans in Q3
Bank Millennium has set aside PLN 532 million in provisions in Q3 2024 to cover legal risks associated with its CHF-denominated loans. This substantial reserve underscores the ongoing challenges faced by Polish banks related to foreign currency loans, which have been the subject of numerous legal disputes. The provisions are aimed at mitigating potential liabilities from lawsuits filed by borrowers, who have challenged the terms of their CHF loans. Despite this financial setback, Bank Millennium remains committed to resolving these cases and stabilizing its balance sheet moving forward.
