BGK grants PLN one billion for Polish Armaments Group
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) signed an agreement to provide PLN 1 billion in bank guarantees, marking the first result of their partnership announced at the MSPO defense fair in Kielce. The BGK guarantee line will secure PGZ’s contractual obligations—from bidding to production and after-sales service—supporting arms supply contracts for the modernization of Poland’s Armed Forces. BGK Vice President Maria Postuła noted the guarantees strengthen defense industry capacity and lower project costs, while PGZ Vice President Marcin Idzik emphasized their role in ensuring financial stability amid expanding production.
The broader partnership includes financing for defense, export, and investment projects, as well as risk management and liquidity support for PGZ.
