The BLIK system operator reported that a DDoS attack on Saturday morning disrupted payment services. According to the company, the situation has now been brought under control, and from 10:33 AM transactions should function normally. BLIK explained on platform X that the external DDoS attack affected the smooth operation of payments, but the infrastructure has been secured and systems are continuously monitored. The operator confirmed on Facebook that the service is now working properly and apologized for the inconvenience.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that the attack targeted Poland’s settlement infrastructure, and emphasized that such attacks occur regularly, though are usually blocked before users notice. BLIK is a widely used Polish mobile payment system.
