Bloober stocks shaken by release of new Cronos game

Bloober Team released Cronos: The New Dawn as part of its strategy to dominate the horror genre. The game earned solid reviews (Metacritic 77/100, user 8.7/10, 86% “Very Positive” on Steam) and a respectable launch with over 5,000 concurrent players and top-12 Steam sales, but it is not a breakthrough hit. Early sales suggest tens of thousands of PC copies, with commercial success hinging on consoles, especially PS5 and Switch 2. Partnerships with Bandai Namco, Skybound, SEGA, and Sapphire should broaden reach.
Production costs were under PLN 100 million, with breakeven relatively low. While the stock price dropped 6% post-launch, Cronos strengthens Bloober’s position in survival horror, though investors await a true AAA-level hit.
