Bloomberg: number of ultra-wealthy growing fastest in Poland
Poland recorded the world’s fastest growth in ultrawealthy individuals, with the number holding assets above USD 30 mln rising about 109% from 2021 to 2026. Bloomberg expects this group to expand by more than 60% over the next five years. The increase partly reflects a low base, the zloty’s 12.7% appreciation against the dollar and cumulative inflation of 32.5%, which raised dollar-denominated asset values and nominal corporate earnings. Real economic gains also played a major role, as Poland’s GDP grew about 16% in real terms over the period and domestic companies gained value.
The trend was not driven by capital taking a larger share of GDP, but mainly by rapid growth in the overall economy.
