Boom in robotization not happening in Poland
Poland is falling behind the global shift toward industrial robotics. Factories installed nearly 2,400 new robots in 2025, up just 2% from a year earlier, according to International Federation of Robotics data cited by Rzeczpospolita. Worldwide installations rose 15% to 621,000, preliminary figures show. Fanuc Polska CEO Jędrzej Kowalczyk warned that automation in Poland is progressing too slowly to support the economy’s competitiveness. Difficulties in the automotive industry, a major driver of factory automation, are contributing to the weak performance.
Problems facing European automakers are spilling over to Polish suppliers, resulting in a lack of new investment and factory closures.
