Boryszew and the Air Force Technical Institute have contract for production of drones

Boryszew Group and the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) have signed a conditional agreement under which ITWL will acquire 52% of shares in the newly formed company Hornet – Polish Drones, while Boryszew retains 48%. The joint venture will focus on producing unmanned aerial weapon systems (BPSU), with operations expected to begin in Q2 2026. Boryszew will finance R&D, a pilot production batch, and lease industrial space at its Sochaczew facility, while ITWL will contribute technical know-how.
The project has approval from the Ministry of Defense, pending clearance from Poland’s competition authority. Boryszew, one of Poland’s largest industrial groups, generated PLN 5.12 billion in 2024 revenue and employs around 10,000 people worldwide.
