Currently, there is no need to amend the budget act for this year, but it is highly probable in the second half of this year, informed Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
"Today, such an amendment would be premature, I do not expect that despite these huge tax cuts, some legislative changes in the budget act will be needed in February, March, April. that hundreds of measures are planned at the Ministry of Finance to seal VAT, seal CIT, and seal PIT," Morawiecki said.
In his opinion, the average annual inflation may reach 6-7 percent in 2022 or even more.
According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), consumer inflation amounted to 8.6 percent on an annual basis in December 2021, according to flash data estimates.
The budget act for 2022, which the Senate is currently working on, provides, inter alia, average annual inflation of 3.3 percent.
