CPK has signed a contract worth nearly PLN 146 mln with Budimex to build the foundations for the passenger terminal of Poland’s new central airport. Earthworks are expected to begin in September, marking the shift from preparation and design to actual construction. The contract includes more than 8,000 foundation piles and columns, measuring 9 to 30 meters, with a total length exceeding 140 km. The foundation works are scheduled for completion at the turn of 2027 and 2028.

The airport, located between Warsaw and Łódź, is part of the Port Polska investment program, valued at PLN 131.7 bln by 2032. It is expected to open in 2032 and handle 34–44 mln passengers annually.
