Bumech has loan agreement for PLN 25 mln for biomass production
Bumech has signed a loan agreement with MS Fundacja Rodzinna for an open credit line of up to PLN 25 million, to be repaid by 31 December 2027. The financing, based on WIBOR 3M plus a variable margin, will support the launch of a new biomass production business as part of the company’s diversification strategy. Bumech’s main shareholder, Marcin Sutkowski, emphasized that regulatory limitations made external financing difficult, so he is personally supporting the investment. In addition, Bumech recently signed a biomass supply agreement worth up to PLN 160 million, covering 200,000 tons of agro and wood biomass through April 2027. The group plans to invest PLN 11–15 million in biomass pellet production, targeting 300,000 tons annually within 24 months.
The move aims to strengthen revenue stability and expand into renewable and alternative fuel markets alongside its coal operations.
