Bumechu to build energy storage with 50 MW capacity in Silesia
Modern Solutions for Environment (MSE), a subsidiary of Bumech, has signed an agreement to prepare full documentation for the MSE-ME1 energy storage project, which will involve building a facility with 50 MW of power and 100 MWh of capacity. The installation will be located near the Silesia coal mine and is part of Bumech’s strategy to expand its energy segment while supporting the economic transformation of post-mining areas. The contract covers obtaining grid connection conditions, preparing construction and technical design documentation, and securing a building permit.
Work will begin immediately. Bumech’s core operations include coal mining at the Silesia mine and services for underground excavation and mining equipment. The group recorded PLN 410 million in consolidated revenue in 2024.
