Business Leading Indicator (WWK), informing in advance about future trends in the economy, fell by 0.4 points in February m/m to 166.1 points, the Investment and Economic Cycles Office (BIEC) informed.
“For a year we have been observing a systematic, though not a rapid deterioration of the economic situation. While a year ago, the factors responsible for the slowdown were dominated by external factors, mainly related to the recession in our immediate environment, now internal factors limiting domestic demand prevail. The engine of economic growth, which was individual consumption, is starting to fail,” the commentary wrote.
